Limitless Purpose is a nonprofit founded in September 2019 to provide opportunities and resources to help all children reach their limitless potential. The organization is inspired by the journey of Lila Mozingo, a young girl with Down syndrome, in the hope that inclusion will happen organically in schools and communities.
DESPITE the inevitable delays caused by the COVID pandemic, we have made great gains in serving families statewide. Specifically, we:
•Named the first Limitless Learner Summer Incentive Award Winners – 32 young people with intellectual or developmental disabilities who were awarded more than $10,300 for learning or recreational opportunities. Thanks to generous donations, we surpassed our $2,500 goal. The funds were paid directly to service providers.
•Distributed more than 3,900 books - all donated - to children and families who need them the most through schools, pediatricians, parks and free little libraries.
•Planned a free event for familieswith refreshments, music, library puppet shows, prizes, books and much more at the incredible Leo's Landing inclusive playground at Saluda Shoals Park. It is rescheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 19, 2022
•Named our first Limitless Impact Award Winner: Gary Matthews, who plans fundraisers that culminate in a Polar Bear Plunge in January to benefit Children's Charities of the Midlands. This year, Limitless Purpose was one of nonprofits to benefit from the $65,000 raised.
